Currently, when purchasing flies there are many options provided, take advantage of that while it last. Some changes to the website are coming soon… Common sense dictates that I somewhat separate my commercial and custom fly tying services. Long story short, there will be fewer available flies and options for the price offered. Custom tying services will cover special requests such as I-balz eyes or different hooks, body colors, weed guards etc. This will allow me focus on whats hot, and what works, without getting bogged down in minutia. Hopefully this will better accommodate my many and varied customers, and of course myself as well. If you can’t find something you want…contact me and I will see what I can do for you.
I typically throw brown or black flies in sizes 6 and 8 to carp here in St. Louis, Missouri, but depending on the size of your fish and your location you may want to try different colors and sizes (size 4 and maybe even 2 for the monsters).
My standard hook is the Dai-Riki #930 saltwater hook, if you need only the strongest, sharpest hooks select the Gamakatsu SL45 Bonefish hook.
