I’ve got some serious fish on the brain!  I will hit the water again…  This time its small weedless creepies and glow in the dark bait fish.  I love how this first nymph came out, and weedless!  Here’s the nymph more to come…

To quote Animal House: “What? Over? Did you say “over”? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!”

If I may ask… what is the material you’re using as a tail here?

    • I think you are referring to the nymph….its old fly line! I really like the look but I haven’t fished this “Line Tail Nymph” too much in the past…really I just took that big catfish pictured in the last post on this fly and that’s about it…I’ve probably spent less than 7hrs total fishing this style. But I am starting to key in on rubber/plastic as a catfish turn on.

Always a source of inspiration! FYI we have a small irrigation reservoir that unfortunately dries uo often. When it has had water for several years guys catch honest to God 12″ bluegills at night on glow in the dark jigs. So, even away from that, you have something there.

    • I went out last night and didn’t even get a bite! ugh. One night in mid summer I was casting a small glow in the dark “black ops” and something came on line that was massive. All I could think was to try and keep my hand from getting caught in my coils and then it was gone…probably a snagged asian carp but it was enough to keep the fire inside alive, apparently. I also got a grass carp that night on a glow stabber. I’d have never thought to go after bluegill at night. Sounds like fun…
